"This was my first visit to Myung Ga Haejangguk. The service was fantastic. They placed electric fans by me and were very attentive. We had the yukgaejang, a spicy beef brisket soup with sprouts, mushrooms, and rice noodles—it was amazing. The portion size was much larger than I expected. It was worth every penny. I highly recommend it 100%."
"This place is really great Korean comfort food with generous proportions. Some of the stews will take a long time, so call ahead and order. Ready when you arrive!"
"Spicy Sundaeguk tastes so good! Yukgaejang has great portions. I can’t finish in one meal. Side dishes are tasty as well. Very clean and organized dining experience."
"Our go to pho place in this plaza was closed and so we were walking around hoping for some soup based food. Saw this new restaurant and decided to check it out Food/Taste/Flavor: 4/5 - the to go food does come very well packaged with single use plastic topper that's sealed on top. Ensures the food doesn't spill but was tough to store leftovers #1: Sunji Haejangguk (ox bone broth with ox blood and beef brisket) was spicy and a tad bit sour. The ox blood was earthy with a soft and slightly bouncy texture. It was a bit overwhelming in flavor so we wished there was a bit more rice. 3/5 #10: Galbitung (beef short rib soup) was the recommendation and it was absolutely amazing!!! The meat was tender and pretty much falling off the rib but still has a nice bite. The soup was flavored nicely with a nice savoriness without it being too queasy. The soup does come salted already but we thought it was well seasoned. 5/5 The kimchi doesn't seem like it was marinated long enough as it was more on the bland side but the radish was really good.... We actually mixed the kimchi into the haejangguk to have better flavors :x Ambience: N/A - ordered food to go. Really bright fluorescent light. Spacious and well ventilated. No decorations on the wall and the tables and chairs look brand new Service: 5/5 - slight communication difficulties but the auntie was really nice and tried her best. We were able to get everything ordered and she invited us to sit while we waited for the food Value for price: 4/5 - on the pricier side but good soup and a very healthy serving"
"Great addition to the South Bay! They offer traditional Korean hearty soups that are both generously sized and delicious. As fall and winter rolls around, everything they offer here will hit the spot. They offer complimentary kimchi, radishes, rice, and even give you a giant bowl of scallion to kick your soup up another notch. No longer will you need to go deep into Gardena or K-Town to satisfy your cravings. Service is fast and so friendly that it felt like I was eating home cooked meals at my friends. Utensils are stored on the side of each table just like the restaurants in Korea. They have a simple menu of 15 main items, but everything looked so appetizing that I had analysis paralysis. Plenty of free parking in the strip mall. I will be coming back to try new items! Expect to pay $25-35 per person (tax + tip included)."
