"Very quick response to questions I asked and professional manners. I spent almost all day in a treatment room having tests done and receiving medication and fluids due to my dehydration. The phlebotomist got the intravenous catheter placed the first time. I am a hard stick and as such have suffered greatly with other phlebotomist having to endure being stuck five or six times to obtain a good site. I am grateful that the urgent care became an emergency room after the renovations at Baptist Medical Park."
"I recently went for a dog walk at the hospital grounds with my service animal and had a rather unsettling experience. As an African American, I felt particularly uncomfortable when one of the security guards placed his hand on his gun. This made me feel very uneasy and unwelcome. There were no signs posted saying dogs were not allowed, so I didn’t expect this kind of reaction. The hospital should be a place where people feel safe and relaxed, but this encounter ruined the experience for me. I hope they address this issue with their security staff to ensure a more welcoming environment for everyone. I certainly expected much better from a Christian hospital. There are no signs posted saying no animals, nor service animals. Please make it clear on what your policy is because that triggered me on what was supposed be a therapeutic activity around the grounds of what is supposed to be the literal hospital for the sick."
"I’m only giving 2 stars because I personally had a great experience in the new emergency room a few weeks ago. However, today, my boyfriend came to urgent care for an ear infection that’s been going on for a week now. He is only able to hear about 10-20% out of one ear. Upon arrival, the waiting rooms were empty. (I’m aware that has no indication of how many people are in exam rooms, thus we had no real idea of how busy the facility actually was). We were called back before we could even sit down, triaged, then placed in an exam room where we sat for over an hour and did not see a single doctor or nurse. After an hour had passed, I looked outside of our exam room and opened the door to see several members of the medical staff just lounging around and joking, laughing, and having personal conversation. This was absolutely horrendous to see, and I’m dumbfounded that a facility I had such a great experience at weeks prior resulted in a visit like this. We ended up walking out and returned to the front office to ask to be removed from the schedule or list. The receptionist then had us sign a form and said she had to have a nurse come lay eyes on us to make sure we were okay to leave. She then proceeded to return and tell us we were good to go. What a ridiculous response—I guess if you wanna be seen, sit there for an hour and then they’ll attempt to grab medical staff for you. I don’t usually leave negative reviews but I am extremely disappointed in the service we did not even receive today."
"They did a great job of taking care of me and addressing concerns. It's more official than an urgent care but not as intense as a for tea ER, and I mean that in a great way. I had a knee injury so I was able to have everything done on sight to get me stable and feeling better. I didn't have to wait super long to get back, but I did have to wait for a while with all the care provided. I was expecting it and have worked at a clinic so it didn't really bother me. That's the cost of being thorough sometimes. With that being said, I wouldn't go there for a cold. It feels more like the place to go for injuries or sickness that you are more concerned with than a sinus infection. They were able to have labs and an X-ray done quickly. Great overall experience as far as Dr. offices goes. Waiting was long, but normal. And I did most of mine in the room, so it really wasn't that bad. Staff was fantastic. Labs and X-rays available. Would return for emergencies, injuries, or some thing that needed to be seen urgently."
