Born in New Orleans, Louisiana, Dr. Speer pursued his Bachelor of Science at Clemson University in South Carolina, followed by earning his Medical Degree from Tulane University Medical School. His extensive training includes an internship at Charlotte Memorial Hospital and a residency at Tulane University, culminating in a prestigious Gastroenterology Fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.

With a career spanning over three decades, Dr. Speer has been serving the Pensacola area since 1992. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, certified in both Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. In addition to his practice, Dr. Speer imparts his expertise as an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine at Florida State University School of Medicine.
