"The office manager scheduled an appointment for me and told me over the phone that Irene Pankiewicz M.D. was in-network. It appears the office does not verify your medical insurance because I never received a call telling me my insurance was out of network or that I was going to pay out of pocket. On the date of the appointment the office manager pretended the office was in-network by only collecting a co-pay. A few months later the office sends me a bill to pay the full amount of the office visit which was close to $300 just for speaking to the provider for 15 min. I paid the full amount due hoping the issue would be resolved in the future. After speaking with my insurance company it turns out that the office submitted the claim INCORRECTLY. I kindly requested that the office manager submit my claim correctly, so I could be reimbursed for the amount that I overpaid. The vibe I get every time I talk with him on the phone is that he is being BOTHERED and wants to accept no responsibility for his mistake. Very poor customer service on the part of the office staff."
