"My visit was not nothing what I expected. I came to the doctors office hoping I could get some relief on my lower back I was supposed to see Dr. Burks but was met with a nurse who wasn’t able to do any thing for me but order a mri I couldn’t get pain medicine treatment anything but was handed a sheet of exercises by the nurse this was very unfortunate. I had to be rushed back to the hospital for the same symptoms I was hoping to get relief from I really would like a refund."

"For me first impressions are everything. Unfortunately, my one and only visit with Dr. Burks and his staff was not a good one. When I made the appointment with Bienville Orthopedics I said that I wanted to see Dr. Burks. On the day of the appointment I noticed that Dr. Burks was in the office, but instead His Nurse Practitioner came to see me. We went over my symptoms and lower back problem history, she shared with me the results of the MRI taken the day before, we talked about possible courses of action, including fusion surgery. She then said that we should start by getting an epidural shot. She said that they would send the information to the place that will be administering the epidural shot and that the place will contact me in a few days to set up the appointment. She also gave me some documentation on exercises I could do to help my lower back. A week went by and I did not get a call from the place that will be administering the epidural shot, so I decided to call the place and ask if they received a referral for me. The answer was no. That told me everything I need it to know. It is sad that a human being suffering from back pain, chooses a doctor based on all the good reviews he reads and didn't even get a chance to see and talk with the doctor, even though he was in the office that day. His staff did not set the appointment I was supposed to get for my epidural shot. On top of that, I had to pay my copayment for the visit and my insurance got billed, like if I saw the actual doctor. I don't even want to think that race had anything to do with this, but makes me wonder sometimes. I will give him a one star because I can't give him anything lower. Very disappointing experience."
