She earned her medical degree from the Tulane University School of Medicine and honed her skills with an internship at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan, followed by a residency at the University of California, Los Angeles, at Olive View. Her expertise was further refined through a fellowship in consultation liaison psychiatry at Louisiana State University in New Orleans.

As a board-certified psychiatric physician by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, Dr. Montegudo is a vital member of the CrescentCare Health and Wellness Center team. She offers a comprehensive range of services, including primary care, women's health, sexual health, gender services, pediatrics, dentistry, behavioral health, harm reduction services, recovery support, and nutrition counseling. Dr. Montegudo is also deeply committed to supporting people living with HIV through case management, legal services, food assistance, and peer support.
