"The staff does not deserve a star. My son loves art and he came in admired by what the gallery offered. My husband and I were controlling the situation, always ensuring that our son did not damage anything. but a tall, old guy approached us with great petulance to talk to us we immediately noticed that we were not welcome. I have read the bad reviews and I know that there are people who have had a worse experience with the same man."
"The one star is not for the Gallery itself or the artists. For the past four years this Gallery has been a favorite stop for me and my young daughter. She's 7, absolutely loves art , and begs us to visit this art gallery. She feels very inspired in this space. We've always been welcomed by the ladies that are usually there. They are very friendly and sweet. This past Thursday , my daughter wanted to show her grandparents her favorite Art Gallery , while they were in town visiting. Her grandma loves art and is into collecting unique pieces. We were not welcomed when we entered which felt very strange. Just a silent large man sitting behind the desk on his computer. We walked around , having a wonderful time. My daughter saw some cookies on a table in the middle of the gallery. They looked like complimentary cookies as I know many galleries have a little snack for guests to walk and enjoy. My daughter asked me and I went to lift the glass lid for her to take a cookie. The man behind the desk verbally accosted us. " You should really ask before just diving in" at first I thought he was joking. He was not. He continued to berate me and my daughter about "asking first". He was very angry. It was extremely uncomfortable and awkward. If the cookies are not to be eaten then please put a sign on them. Her grandparents were disgusted by his bahavior and it tarnished their view of St. Pete and especially this Gallery. This man is not who you want representing such a beautiful space."
"Young lady was knowledgeable and very friendly. Beautiful gallery"
"So disappointed. For various reasons I decided to visit today. There apparently were 3 people working. None of them sat up from the comfortable sofas sitting in the middle of the space. Neither did they stop from scrolling through their phones. As I was about to leave, an older gentleman asked if there was something I found interesting. Considering how I was not worth any attention previously I said no. My friend wanted to look around for another turn, during that time consisted of the three staff members insulting me out loud. As an artist I would not work with such a gallery. As an interior designer I would not recommend to my clients and as a former art gallery owner (on Beach Drive no less) I would not be surprised they don't make it. No one should be judged. Unfortunately, a Gallery like this is what prevents many people from entering in the first place."
