"My husband and I were out for a drive and we just happen to come across Linda Pedersen preserve in Hernando county. We were pleasantly surprised with this park that we had no idea was here. The park was absolutely spotless. There were plenty of picnic tables. There was a lookout tower that you could climb and view the entire area, which was absolutely stunning. The park offers, swimming, kayaking, canoeing, and nature trails. we walked the entire area and the peacefulness was something out of this world beautiful landscape was abundant birds and other animals were foraging. If you take the road that leads to the right it takes you to an entirely different part of the park or preserve and you have large pavilions where you can host parties there’s children’s playgrounds , everything looked neat and clean and safe and well maintained. There’s a boat docking ramp, extra parking and more places to explore. This hidden gem is perfect for a quiet get away. Plenty of parking, kid friendly, clean restrooms and handicap friendly. I definitely recommend going to Linda Petersen Preserve in Hernando county. You will be very pleased."
"New wooden bridges and walkways. Up to date bathrooms. Very nice place for a family BBQ too. Launches for kayaking are modern and easy to access. Very clean place with no littering too."
"Nice park stopped and enjoyed the area.Took a walk and eat our lunch."
"Beautiful park. Nice kayak launch pad. Too bad about the boardwalk area that's still boarded up. It's an eye sore. But everything else on this side is very nice."
"The kayak launch here is so easy to use. I almost always see manatees here. I love the view from the lookout tower"
