Dr. Poiesz brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to his practice, having completed his Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at the prestigious New York University Medical Center and his Residency in Internal Medicine at Tufts Medical Center in Boston. He earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the State University of New York at Syracuse College of Medicine.

Dr. Poiesz is certified in Bone Marrow Biopsy and Aspiration Procedures and has contributed significantly to medical research, with numerous publications in renowned journals. His work includes studies on Human T-cell Lymphoma/Leukemia Viruses and the prevalence of HTLV-I-Associated T-cell Lymphoma, among others. He is also involved in developing novel therapeutic strategies for treating EBV-related malignancies and conducting clinical studies on nasopharyngeal carcinoma.
