"He did my colonoscopy in April 2023 as preventive because my mom was diagnosed with colon cancer. He used other billing codes when he submitted the claim to my health insurance company, and as a consequence they billed me for about $1,000 that includes his fees, the anesthesiologist fees, and the facility fees where the colonoscopy was performed. I should not pay anything but he and his billing manager refused to resubmit the claim correctly. My health insurance company care team called his office several times without any luck. I have sent letters to his office and billing department without any luck. I have appealed through my health insurance company but they declined it because this physician did not want to make the billing code correction. I am very upset and frustrated with this physician and his billing office."
"Very friendly and personable. Great bedside manner. Made me feel at ease with my procedure. Easy to schedule with. All his staff were friendly and efficient. Good doctor, good experience."
"I only gave 1 star because not giving a star is not an option. Dr. Newman is an uncaring and condescending doctor with no bedside manner. Upon my dad's first appointment with him for a scope, my dad was trying to ask a question and Dr. Newman cut him off and told him to let him do the talking. A few weeks later my father was scheduled to insert a feeding tube. They scheduled the surgery 3 weeks out even though my dad was literally unable to eat or drink anything and was severely dehydrated. Even when my dad's other providers called to express the urgency, we were told they had other appointments that could not be moved. He ended up going to ER and was admitted and the feeding tube insertion was scheduled to take place while he was there at the hospital. During that hospital stay my dad received a shocking diagnosis that he was terminally ill. After the tube was placed my dad tried to ask Dr. Newman a question. He held up his hand and said "let me talk" and did not let my dad talk or ask questions. He completely acted as though my dad was not even there. At this time he was aware that my dad was terminally ill, but did not show one ounce of compassion towards him. I would never recommend him to anyone. It is quite a shame as the NP/PA in his office is very kind and compassionate."
"Greeting at the front desk was so nice and warm so early on a chilly morning. Dr. Newman took extra time to explain everything in detail - truly appreciated that!"
"The doctor, Dr. Frederick Newman is the drawing card for this office. He is very knowledgeable about your patient history and he listens to your concerns. He never rushes you thru your appointment. He makes you feel welcome and valued as a patient, not a burden."
