"I loved this museum cultural and historical artifacts and a great place to learn about history"
"This place is an unforgettable experience for all ages! It's a bit tucked away adjacent to the Wendell Krinn Technical High School in New Port Richey, but very easy to access. The building is absolutely bursting at the seams with the museum's extensive collection of archaeological and anthropological artifacts from cultures across the globe, as well as an amazing showcase of prehistoric fossils. The Docent Tour is such a treat, and if you are fortunate enough to have Charles as your guide you will be blown away by the scope of his knowledge and experience. The MAPS Museum is truly a local treasure not to be missed."
"My husband and I took the docent tour and it far exceeded our expectations. It is a giant collection of archaeology and paleontology artifacts that is truly breathtaking. If given a larger space to house the collection so that it could be displayed more properly, it would be a cultural and educational benefit to the area. The collection is worthy of a big, fancy museum. I HIGHLY suggest you take this very affordable and educational tour."
"This museum is a hidden gem in New Port Richey. John and I took a docent hosted tour and what we saw is truly an overwhelming and beautiful collection of artifacts including a fossilized dinosaur egg with the x-ray of the baby inside the egg. Thousands of truly remarkable items exist in this building, much of it in boxes due to cramped space. We need this downtown to fill the Schwettman building."
