Golden Spoon Buffet & Banquet 1816 South 320th Street, Federal Way, WA 98003

"I love the concept of this place. They have American, Italian, and Mexican foods to choose from. Unfortunately, the food was dry and not much to choose from. I'd say get there when they have fresh food. In the shape it was in, the $24.99 price wasn't justified. The salad bar was well stocked. The cashier wasn't friendly, didn't greet us, we asked her a question, and she ignored us and acted like she hated her job. (She shouldn't be the face of the company) We mentioned it to a server on the floor, who was very nice and welcoming. The setup is from the original buffet, so everything is easy to get to. The atmosphere gets 2 stars only because our server was awesome. I will give it another chance on a random day and update my review from there."

"Cashier/waitress was polite and professional. Person grilling steak and hamburger was so nice that he brought the steak to our table after its cooked. He also made us feel wanting to come back. We really appreciate it that cooked the New York steak just the way we wanted. I’m solid 5 star!"

"I must say I was not as happy after the dining experience as I was before going there. I was very excited to try a new buffet and had gotten this place as a recommendation upon my arrival I was greeted by a very unfriendly, quiet young lady. She was very quiet and non-enthusiastic and was on her phone while she was helping us. The cost was $25 per person. As far as the food goes, they were many many options and all seemed very good. The only problem is because it wasn’t busy. It seemed like the food had sat for a while, and some of the meats became very chewy and also didn’t seem as fresh. The ice cream machine was broken , and then the soda machines had no ice. The best part was that they had a steak and burger station where they made strip steak and burgers to order. The place was clean and organized otherwise. The staff was quick to remove used plates which was good. I am not sure if I would go back out not. I am not against giving it another try during busier times to see if maybe the food is fresher?"

"My girlfriend and I decided to try this place out since we were shopping in that plaza. Right off the bat I felt the price was a bit steep for brunch. Then as we walked through to fill our plates, we were quickly disappointed in the selection as well as how dried out everything was. All the labels for the food were mislabeled with dinner selections. I thought I was grabbing a blueberry pancake, it ended up a chocolate chip pancake. Most of the trays of food were not kept up, so there was very little in each bin. I tried to salvage a good meal by getting a cheese omelet. It was small and thin but it was fresh. The only good thing that came out of this visit was the drink and some ice cream. We will not be back."
