"The nurses I talked to were great and informative. Were able to give me what I needed. However CareNow Corporate needs to improve their facility maintenance. Toilet wouldn’t flush, the toilet paper holder is broken, and there was no hot water in the bathroom. CareNow do not get lax on your facility maintenance. Makes you look janky and gives the impression you are cutting corners, which maybe you are. Facilities need to be clean and well maintained."
"Came to this location for a simple drug test for my employer and waited almost 2 hours (for a visit that doesn't even require a doctor). Not only was this supposed to be a quick walk-in visit, I was then asked to complete new patient paperwork that was totally irrelevant as they had all the information they needed from the drug screening company... Absolutely insane! 0/10 would not recommend this location if you need a place to get a quick sample done. What should have been a 5 minute visit turned into a multi hour ordeal."
"6/20/24: I live across the road from this location — based on the proximity, took my mom there when she needed to be treated for an ear inflammation (she is visiting the U.S. on a visa and is covered through the United Healthcare travelers insurance, accepted by CareNow). The problems started during the check in, when the receptionist prompted me to scan a QR code and fill out the forms digitally. When I got to the page asking for copies of a driver’s license, which my mom doesn’t have since she is a foreigner (+ no option to upload passport photos), I told the receptionist that I would prefer filling out the paper forms + asked her to make copies of my mom’s passport and insurance card. The receptionist pushed back and told me that it would be quicker to complete the forms online (right, but not in this particular case when they don’t have an option for passport photo uploads). I said that I completed as much info as the system would allow, she asked to see my phone and the next thing I knew she started taking photos on my phone without my permission or authorization (what on earth??). I once again reiterated that I wanted to complete the paper forms & that it was her job to assist me with the request (she was not happy with this, as it added extra work /data entry for her). One of the forms that she mentioned I had to sign was the mandatory $180 credit card authorization contract that allows CareNow to charge my card for any amount not covered by insurance. When I asked for clarifications, the receptionist started raising her voice and giving me an attitude, quoting the company policy but failing to explain the specifics of the contract (isn’t it her job to explain the policy when a patient/patient representative asks follow up questions?). I’ve never seen such policy at any other urgent care locations, and I assumed it was my right to know what I was signing — correct me if I’m wrong. Next — we filled out all paperwork and I asked for an estimate of how long we would have to wait before we were seen by a doctor, specifying that my friend was waiting with my dog outside and I needed to figure out if it made sense for them to stick around or head back home (the June heat and all). The response was “not long”. 40 minutes later… yeah, 40 minutes later we were invited to proceed to one of the rooms. The nurse was brief with her intro and started asking standard questions - weight/height/allergies (I asked her to actually make an effort to weigh my mom and measure her height instead of relying on approximations — again, isn’t it a standard procedure at EVERY doc visit?). We got to the medications part, and the nurse didn’t allow me any time to look up the names of the medications in English when I informed her that, as a foreigner, my mom was taking European medications that were not necessarily available in the U.S. The nurse started talking over me, requesting that my mom spelled out the names of the medications after I told the nurse several times that she didn’t speak English. Getting an attitude from the second employee at this clinic was the last drop, and we decided to leave and go to another urgent care. As we were leaving, I requested to get all of our forms back & to have my mom’s data removed from their clinic’s database for privacy reasons (I don’t need her data stored at a location that doesn’t provide adequate patient support). 3 hours later, I received a text message from MyHealthOne, linked to this clinic’s address, with my mom’s name misspelled, prompting us to create an account. Seriously? Which part of “remove her data from your database” was difficult to understand? Now, if the CareNow management is reading this, I’d like to inform you that I recorded some of the conversations based on the initial bad experience we had at the reception desk. If you have any interest in listening to those recordings and retraining your staff to make sure they are providing an equally good patient experience to all of your customers, feel free to reach out. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy."
"Overall my experience was great. I really enjoyed being able to check in from home instead of having to wait in the lobby. They call you when it’s time to head to them. Once I arrived, the receptionist was friendly and provided excellent service. Both the medical assistant and doctor provided exceptional bedside manner and answered all of my questions. They were able to relieve my symptoms and it was all done in a time efficient manner."
