Reviews
"We have been coming to Norma's for years. This review is about a month late from our last visit - but just had to give them a shout out. We enjoyed our meal as usual and received great service, and when we had a question about the chocolate cake - the new manager made sure we left happy. Definitely recommend!"
"This place got increasingly worse each time I ate there. I’ve ordered from Norma’s 3 times. Same order each time. Chicken fried steak, dressing with giblet gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, and carrots. The first time it was great. The second time is was completely different. Not as good as the first time. This made me hesitant to try it again but my husband wanted it so..that’s what we got. The 3rd time My chicken fried steak was completely burned. You could tell immediately. Once I pulled some of the breading off I could see the meat and it was literally black. It was so hard I could barely cut a knife through it. It reminded me of a hockey puck. That’s how hard it was. The giblet gravy was so weird and gross. It had almost a gel like texture. It was solid…not creamy liquid like a normal gravy. To make matters worse I called to speak to a manager and a female employee answered the phone, put me on hold, and then about 45 seconds later, hung up on me. I almost called back, but I thought better of it. Instead , I chose to leave my review and to never spend another hard earned dollar in that place. I attached a picture of the chicken fried steak. Would absolutely NOT recommend!"
"Excellent food, on point. Biscuits are definitely fluffy! Service could be a bit better. We had to ask different servers for more drinks every time."
"Food was freshly prepared from scratch. Everything was delicious. Our waitress was very nice and sweet. When in Dallas you should definitely try Norma's cafe!"
"I grew up in Oak Cliff and lived on Winnetka, where the original Norma lived and had her restaurant. This place has nostalgic food and the unique booths that really take me back home. Everything was delicious, and except for the fact that we never received our appetizer, I will continue to come back. Thanks, Normas, for a great lunch and memorable moments."
