East Lake Community Library

"A small but friendly full-service library. Since I moved here in 2016, I’ve always enjoyed a warm welcome by the library staff. They have a good collection of books & media, offer passport, processing computer, advice, home gadgets for loan as well as discount tickets to some local museums and attractions. They host, special community events, indoors, and out. They can also receive titles and media they do not possess through a inter library loan program with other libraries in the area ."

"I participated in the Dip Pen/Calligraphy class and absolutely loved it. Our instructor setup the class in a way that made it easy to learn the strokes that make up calligraphy. She was easy to understand and made this class thoroughly enjoyable."

"More than just a writing class. Instructor gave wonderful introduction into what calligraphy is and how it started. Also gave information regarding supplies and gave resources. The hands on exercises and encouraging words during the practices are a great start for me as a very beginner. Excellent class!!!"

"The East Lake Library has always been a hidden jewel to those of on the east side of the lake. We thought we could keep it to ourselves forever but with the many wonderful programs for all ages, it’s hard to keep it a secret any longer. The East Lake Library offers much more than books (wonderful as they are). It offers various programs such as line dancing, calligraphy, tax information, and even fiber arts. The staff is amazing and their goal is to make this library a vibrant part of the life of the community. Thank you to Lois, the dedicated staff, and volunteers!"
