"Worst customer service in banking. I over-drafted my business account by $12 and did not receive an alert. I had the money in my checking and could have easily transferred it over but was not made aware. I received an alert that I was charged a $36 overdraft fee and immediately transferred the money upon being made aware. Truist denied me a refund of the overdraft fee that was 3X the amount that I was over-drafted. I do not recommend."

"Anthony is awesome business banker to work with. Brianna at front desk answered the phone in a couple rings and was really pleasant. Looking back 2 yrs ago BB&T and Suntrust merged together. It wasn’t good. The process was rough. lot of bad reviews from then so i was a little hesitant to bank here. Pleasantly surprised. Feels comfortable and teller is close to front."

"Teller took the money out the wrong account. Instead of my personal account, he withdrew it from my joint account. Then blamed me, for not knowing my account number. Who memorized their account number?"

"This is the worst bank I have ever dealt with in my entire life. It is impossible to get through to anyone at the branch by phone. I leave messages with no return calls. If you hit operator for a representative at the bank it takes you through the phone tree again. I called the 877 number and the representative told me she had no way to contact the branch manager and have someone at the branch call my 90 year old mother at home as they are simply the call center. I asked for a supervisor and she chose to hang up on me. If you need any kind of customer service from the local branch by phone don’t pick this bank. The branch in question is located at 6300 central Ave. As soon as I am able to get back to St. Pete I will help my mother find a new bank."

"My father died and had an account with Sun trust. I filed the appropriate paperwork and the court ruled in my favor for 100% of the contents of said bank account. I sent in the appropriate paperwork, they closed the account and I've heard nothing. I can get no one to help me. They aren't even sure where they sent the check and can't even verify anything with me. I ask to speak to a supervisor and am told none are available. They say they will call me back and never do. My father died and this is how the bank treats me?! Unbelievable!! Their customer service line is useless. Absolutely no help is given and you have to wait hours on hold. I am giving Sun trust till Wednesday to sort this out them I'm hiring a lawyer and suing the company. I have a court order for his account and can't even get any answers. Extremely disappointed!! Your company will pay much more money after I sue you!"
