"kacy adherhold is the worst lol. gets mad at me for not counting carbs as if it matters with an a1c of under 6. horrible bedside manner. nobody answers the phone, or works more than 2 days a week, and has absolutely no support for any type one diabetic ever. my therapist sent me here because they advertise having so much for us type ones, but theres nothing. a shell of a health practice. absolutely no essential resources provided to any patient that isnt a type two."
"Had a referral from my primary, appointment was scheduled today it's was cancelled and they never called me to let me know they cancelled it. I've had many problems with our starting with my mom. No more never again will I go see a Dr. At OU."
"Saw Dr Lambert over a month ago. He said he was going to prescribe me two different medications. After asking me three different times which pharmacy to send them to he still sent it to the wrong pharmacy and he only sent a prescription for only one of the medications. I've been calling and leaving voice mails at least once a week since and cant get a response and no call back. Insulin is a life sustaining medication and the fact that they are so careless and won't even return phone calls is ridiculous."
"Today I saw Dr. Smith, the neurosurgeon, and his wonderful team. Please excuse my memory I believe it was a Ms. L up front and Mr. M. I could not have asked for a better experience. Everyone from the front end to the back end was compassionate, helpful, kind, thorough, educated. I feel like I understand my body better and what we are going to do. I feel heard, validated and assisted. The waiting area is clean, gorgeous, classy, yet comfortable. I was able to get in quickly, but wasn't rushed. Everyone took the time to make sure I felt included and educated on these sometimes terrifying journeys into healthcare and our bodies, I know with confidence I won't be so nervous with any help ever needed in the future. If there is some place better I can be directed to make a true and proper complement, I'd be grateful. I am grateful to have received their time, speciality care, knowledge, and compassion. I now have seen Michael Evans in the Adult Rehabilitation Center in addition to the Neurosurgery department. He is incredibly kind, compassionate, intelligent, and helpful. Everyone else I've had interactions with there has been kind, helpful, and prompt. I look forward to my PT sessions with Mike. Even with an unusual combination of health issues, he goes out of his way to help and make me feel better and treat me well. I highly recommend this facility."
"I contacted them to make an appointment. Melissa, that answered the phone was nonchalant and had zero understanding when insisting I have a doctor's referral. I attempted to explain the extenuating circumstances around my physician's carelessness and why my physician would not or could not do so. I was found to be prediabetic with an elevated a1c on 07/12 by another doctor, I was formally diagnosed with those results on 09/23 by another physician. That physician at another OU clinic has taken 26 days since prescribing several medications my insurance cann't cover without my doctor's interactive participation in authorization and appeals. I'd been working directly with my insurance through the appeals, my insurance and I went so far as to contact the doctor's office twice on the phone together to urge an appeal be sought, my physician had only yet to respond to the insurer's letter faxed to them by my insurer and refuses to do so getting me the necessary treatment medications. To be more proactive, I want nothing more than to began whatever treatment is prescribed for care and to possibly evade the long-term, negative impact on my major organs as well as the chronic nature of actual diabetes. Melissa said in a cheerful, sing-songy mocking tone, "Now all i need is a doctor's referral to get you scheduled.". To be fair, they have other programs I've participated in that I found to be helpful and engaging to prevent diabetes which lasts a year and helped me lose weight and gain more knowledge about healthier choices in the foods I eat."
