"We went to see Dr Ahmed to get an expert opinion after my mom’s symptoms had become so bad that she was unable to walk a few steps or complete a sentence without shortness of breath. This was very difficult for her as she has always been incredibly independent. She is 93 years old, is able to drive, play bridge several times a week and enjoys multiple other activities, including working in the garden. She had a severely leaky tricuspid valve. There was a new procedure available, called the “valve clip which Dr Ahmed agreed to do. She now feels like a new person. She is able to breathe much better and has more energy. Amazingly, she is now back to being the matriarch of our family.
