"I am very uncomfortable writing a negative review, but folks should have as much information as possible in order to make informed medical decisions. There is a second star only because Dr. Lai was kind and he got me a referral to an incredible epileptologist- but otherwise I had an absolutely horrible time with Dr. Lai and his staff. *Multiple* times I had to go without medications, because his staff didn't send in med renewals in time-- even though my pharmacist and I had been requesting them weeks in advance. After one particularly bad day trying to get my medications, my pharmacist-- while on hold with them for about twenty minutes after we had sent three faxes that day alone-- quite literally said they were the worst office he had ever worked with. If you have any neurological Dx, you know how literally life-endangering it can be to go without medications. At one point they lost my medical record. Another, I heard Dr. Lai scolding a staff member, saying "What I am supposed to tell the client?" and then implied it was my fault his staff hadn't ordered a particular test for me. Dr. Lai seems kind and informed, so just getting the office more organized could be massively helpful. In the meantime however, this is not an office I can recommend."
"Please don’t see this dr. I had an appointment at 8AM, came and NO ONE was there. Dr said he would be there to help test me to see if I have carpal tunnel; I came at my scheduled time and nobody was there. He claimed he “saw me sitting out there” like bro, if you saw me sitting and waiting then WHY DIDNT YOU ASK ME TO COME IN FOR MY APPOINTMENT!?!?! Unreliable as hell. Waited nearly an hour just to be reschedule for TWO months later. Just shut your business down if you don’t know how to run it."
"I’m a current patient to dr Tim Lai. Last year he discovered my tumor has regrown due that a prior neurologist left roots behind. Now I have to be under his care checking and making sure my tumors doesn’t regrow as big as it used to be before the first one git removed. He might take a while to walk in and assess the patient but he’s a very thorough with each of his patients care."
"Rude staff. I don’t know why the doctor Tim Lai hired inconsiderate and rude receptionists. I was busy with work and could not answer the receptionist’s call. She kept calling me over and over. When I was able to answer the phone, she was very short and un-courteous. She asked me “are you going to come in for your appointment, I will give it to someone else.” I had no reason not to honor the appointment or gave any indication, however she acted as if I was some serial appointment skipper. I told her that I will be coming and she said “next time pick up the phone.” This lady was so unprofessional, she needs to learn some interpersonal soft skills, manners, class, and take some anger management classes. I never talked to such and ugly person. She needs to quit if she hates her job, because the patients need better health services. She is just calling around accusing and trying to cancel people’s appointments."
