"I booked tests for my husband and I on December 13,2021. The free testing ended Friday, December 18th. Wailea People and Paws Pharmacy were honoring appointments made before the new rules. I have attached a screenshot. I was not emailed regarding the change in the policy or the price. You can imagine how shocked I was. I feel badly for your staff having to explain this to all International travelers. We took the bus all the way from Lahaina for this test. For $180 I could have made an appointment closer to where we are staying. I was not advised via email/ call or text so I asked for them to do the right thing and refund us for the tests. I wrote a complaint on December 21, 2021 and heard back from Toni Maehara, Associate Vice President on July 26, 2022. This was the response: I am writing to you on behalf of Capture Diagnostics and the COVID-19 test taken at Mauiliola Pharmacy on 12/20/21. It has come to our attention that you were mistakenly charged for the test that was being provided through a no cost community testing program. Capture Diagnostic would like to reimburse you for the testing fee you incurred. We kindly ask for proof of payment and we will issue you a full refund for the test. Please feel free to respond to this email address and contact me directly with any questions. Thank You for entrusting us with your business and allowing us to rectify the situation. We apologize for any inconvenience. Very nice... Right!?! BUT I haven't received a refund and after a few email exchanges I have been ghosted by Toni, Client Services and the Help Desk. have called in to talk to a real person and they take my number and no one calls me back. It's not the money it's the principle...."
