"I’ve been trying to get files transferred from this office and it’s been over a month. Multiple fax requests, messages, and phone calls from myself AND the new office trying to get them. Very frustrating experience that is delaying getting prescription filled. Communication with front desk was very difficult the entire time we used this office, which is reason for finding a new office."
"Dr. Donald is wonderful, but I can't say the same for the rest of the staff. I've been a patient since last summer, and after a little trial and error I was eventually placed on meds that helped. staying on them was impossible. I'd be told I'd have a follow up appointment made, then nobody would reach out to me to make the appointment, and getting through to someone on the phone has proven to be impossible. I'd have appointments scheduled without discussing it with me so I'd of course miss them because I didn't know. last month, my meds will filled without needing an appointment, and this month wasn't the case. and I've tried to call to make an appointment so I get back on my life saving mediation, I've left several messages, but no dice. their email is a joke too. I've sent numerous and I've used the Patient Portal to reach out, and nothing every time. as great as Dr. Donald is, I'll be finding another counselor to manage my medication from here on out, because I can't risk the treatment I'm getting when my depression is so bad. I recommend looking for other doctors in the area."
"Well I have tried my best to have all the understanding I could have with this office. So, allow me to explain why I have decided to walk away and find another provider. Nurse Practitioner Donaldson is very down to earth, and she is a likeable person. I felt that she could really help my son Joshua. She made him smile and feel comfortable. My problem is not that she does not know what she is doing. I have felt sorry for her because the front end could NEVER stay the same. Her turnover is so high. Getting someone to pick up the phone is next to impossible, returning phone calls and message next to impossible. Prescription being called in NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE, my son went 3 weeks without his prescription being called. The only way my concern was ever heard is when it was time for a follow up appointment, that is when I was able to say did get my voicemail, or my message? I have NEVER raised my voice at this staff until today. My son had an appointment for Wednesday December 9th, and I was waiting on a call to tell me who this meeting was going to take place, and if she was still on schedule for her appointments. It Never occurred to me to just go to my email. I mean I had my whole family on standby waiting for this meeting because my son was not adopting to the new medication, we all needed to tell Nurse practitioner Donaldson what was going on. I mean I felt like I could trust her and my son felt close to her and needed to tell her what was happening and because the front office staff did not call me and tell the link was in my email we missed the appointment. I called today to see if they could see him sooner than another Wednesday, I was told NO I should've checked my email. If my son is your "main man" as you call him, I felt you should have made a way to get my son seen. People my son is not doing well with the medication and her immediate attention was needed. I took my son out of school this week because it was so bad, and I feel like this office staff failed him, me and my family. I should not have to chase the office down for prescription, I should not have to chase the office down to answer the phones, I should not have to chase this office down to check the messages I sent via their website. We are leaving Ms. Donaldson because her front end cannot follow through. If you can deal with someone not picking up the phone, nor returning messages, or not calling in the prescriptions this office is the correct one for you. Until she can nail the right front-end staff, she's going to continue to lose patients. Which is NOT Fair to her, but the price you pay when you are an owner. Since I can not respond to your post below. I will respond here. I did not MISS any appointments set. The only reason why the follow up did not happen was because he NEVER received the medication so what are we following up on? if you are going to write a statement, because I can provide proof to what I am saying. Should I post receipts????"
"Carnika Donald seemed like the kind of mental health provider that would help my teen because she was down to earth and relatable. Initially we liked her style, we loved that she provided genetic testing to help select medication that might work best, and her proposed mirror therapy sounded promising for working on self esteem. The problem we had was with her office staff. The girl at the front desk handling appointments was one of the rudest and most unprofessional staff members we've dealt with anywhere. It only got worse after the pandemic hit and everything was virtual. Terrible communication, late prescription refills, missed appointments. The last time I got a call from the appointment setter, she had info wrong and when I politely corrected her, she made a huffing noise and literally hung up on me before even scheduling anything. We gave up. And now the office staff refuses to cooperate in transferring my child's medical records to a new provider even though we've sent authorized release forms. The only way we'd give Ms. Donald our business again would be if she fired the office staff and hired anyone with manners, at least minimal organizational skills, and professionalism. I'm about to file an official complaint to get my child's records since they aren't even available on their useless web portal. Such a shame that Ms. Donald has such awful office staff representing her as the face of her business."
"My entire experience was incredible!! From the moment I walked in I was greeted by the front desk staff and was given all the information for my appointment. I was taken back to Dr. Donald’s office so quickly after arriving!!! Seriously no wait at all, and your appointment actually starts at the time it’s scheduled for. Dr. Donald is so incredibly nice and listens to everything you have to say. She takes her time to determine the best outcome for her patients. This place is amazing. Definitely 10/10 experience!!!"
