"Want to start this by saying this one star is for tonight and tonight only. Any other time we have been here has been amazing. Was actually just here Friday with my son who broke his leg and they were fantastic! Tonight though, I don’t know what happened. My daughter had a fall and hit her head on the tile floor at home. She’s 2. After she hit her head she seemed out of it and then she threw up. I was advised to take her in for imaging. So we get to the er around 8 and the waiting room is basically empty. By this point my daughter was acting herself again but was tying to just safe and cautious. So we check in and the people ahead of us go back. We sit there for over and hour and a half and multiple people that came in after us are called back while we’re just sitting there. I’m very pregnant, it’s late, and I have a 2 year old that’s getting stir crazy. The man at the front desk never even said anything to us, just kept taking other people who came in after us back while we’re waiting our turn. So we finally just left. I’m used to such amazing, quick, care when we have come here before…but tonight just felt like we were a forgotten burdens"
"Took my baby to the er due to having trouble breathing. The team went above and beyond to run tests and were very gentle. The doctor was very nice and thorough. He took his time talking with me and answered all of my questions. The nurses Tony and Jessica were great! It was very busy and we were here most of the day, but I appreciate the care and concern of everyone! The lady or nurse at the front desk checkin was quite rude and dismissive while checking us in. She came to listen to my baby’s lungs then walked off in the middle of looking at my baby to talk to someone else, but everything else was wonderful."
"It has taken me over 3 years to write this but I feel as though everyone who enters those doors, as well as the Christus Medical system needs to made aware of the horrific experience I had. I will never set foot in that hospital, nor recommend you do either. I BEG YOU to find different care. My mom arrived in their care as her cancer returned and was needing immediate attention in January 2021. Unfortunately upon arrival, the staff had already given up all hope and gave her a death sentence without exhausting every other option. I have never seen such a lack of compassion or empathy. I feel like they just completely let her go and if they were to take action immediately, she could possibly still be here today. My mom passed 3 days later. The care from staff was absolutely horrific as I was told that "you are lucky you even get to be in here with her" as I am bent over her bed crying my eyes out as my mom slips in and out of consciousness. The head nurse that day should not be practicing in health care and needs to be held accountable for her awful behavior that night. Some of my moms final words were about how awful the care was, I cannot fathom even writing what those words are. How awful, to be in an ICU fighting for your life, with healthcare workers speaking down to you and have no will to help you fight. They completely let her go. I will never understand why people who lack so much compassion are in the healthcare field and especially in the ICU with people in their last few moments. Doctors, nurses, EVERYONE was absolutely horrific. again, I beg of you to find other care. I want to be able to advocate for my mom even after her life. My mother in law is now being treated at Christus in Texarkana and is experiencing the exact same thing so unfortunately it seems to be a Christus way of care. Be prepared to have to stick up for yourself in ways unimaginable. Christus, if you see this I would like to speak to whoever I can to discuss the hell on earth I experienced the night of January 18/19. You should be absolutely ashamed."
"So I went to the ER because I could barely walk, in pain, and having intense muscle spasms from my chest down. At first I was treated with respect until they saw my husband that is heavily tattooed and looks extremely young for his age. The moment that they saw him everything changed. I was treated like I was there seeking pain medication and nothing else. I thought I would be taken to get an x-ray, but no. I was told that the reason for my problems was my asthma flaring up. They didn't do any x-rays or any imaging of any kind. This was April 3rd, 2024. I finally got to the point on April 12th that I would no longer walk on my own, and the pain was so intense that I gave in and let my husband take me to Hospitality E.R. in longview. They immediately put me in a wheelchair and started getting me care. They did an MRI after I explained what had been going on. (Which I had explained to Good Shepherd Longview ER staff) Immediately they called Dr. Fontenot and sent him my MRI while he was at Longview regional hospital. I was transported to LONGVIEW REGIONAL HOSPITAL within 4 hours of my arrival at HOSPITALITY ER because I had two herniated bulging disc that was paralyzing my legs. I was in surgery on April 13th at 7:45 am for spinal surgery. If I would have been treated at Good shepherd longview the way I was treat at HOSPITALITY ER..I may not have had to have emergency surgery and would have been able to decide a plan of action. Look, all I want is for your staff not to judge people on their appearance, past, or associations. I am a Lead Pharmacy Technician. I wasn't there for pain medication. I wanted to know what was wrong with me. I was treated like a drug seeking pill head. NO ONE SHOULD BE DENIED PROPER CARE! You really need to look into your staff and retrain them on patient care. THANK YOU TO HOSPITALITY ER AND LONGVIEW REGIONAL HOSPITAL FOR TAKING SUCH GREAT CARE OF ME AND GIVING ME MY ABILITY TO WALK BACK. Without their patient care I would be in a wheelchair by now, but I am now about to return to work full duty and with no pain! Oh and I haven't had pain meds this whole time because I refused them after surgery. So what a pill head I am!"
"I initially went to the clinic but the doctor there sent me to the ER. I wasn't really heard. They were in such a hurry to get me out of the hospital room despite my labs showing abnormalities. They could have been kind enough to tell me about them. Let me know that at the moment they weren't life threatening or something they can treat at the ER. But to address it and see a non emergency physician for treatment to prevent it from becoming lethal. They even did a drug test on me. All negative. Also kept saying it was just anxiety. What they did do and shouldn't have is put pressure on my IV bag 4 times. It made me have severe pressure on my chest and throat that made me cough so hard it ended up provoking me to violently vomit and make my symptoms of internal coldness and bad circulation worse. I left feeling worse both physically and mentally because according to them my blood work was normal and so was that reaction to putting air in my IV bag 4 different times. I haven't felt the same since. Not sure what the nurse did but an intravenous saline drip has never made me cough or feel an insane amount of pressure in my chest and throat. Please be more humane. Especially if you claim Christianity. Don't rush things that don't need to be rushed. Medical error/malpractice takes the lifes of hundreds of thousands of Americans each year. What she did was dangerous and could have ended with me not being able to write this review."
