"Worst ever scheduling system. Operators are determined to discourage patients from scheduling an appointment.Inova Endocrinology at Springfield, if you don't want to help with scheduling as a company policy, why waste my time? Just tell me you dont want to receive new patients at this time. Don't come up with ridiculous excuses like unclear referral letter or when you have that second referral letter in your hands, read it together with the first and use your common sense or even more come up with a uniform referral letter format so that patients and referring doctor's don't waste their time with your ridiculous bureaucracy. All these back and forth while putting us on the phone for more than half an hour during each failed scheduling attempt? This is beyond an unacceptable. I'm writing this review only for others to not waste their time, just go to other practices. I am assuming from previous reviews, Inova is not ready to fix the problem. And, by the way its so unprofessional of you trying to connect me with a department that deals with patients who want to lose weight while I was referred to your office for me to have checked for my involuntary weight loss. Who does that?"
"Mahogany is the best phlebotomist!! Please don’t let her go for at least another 2 years and make sure she’s paid well. I took my mom for her lab work and we were in and out in a few minutes!! Front desk staff was super helpful, office was clean, spacious, handicap accessible, and climate controlled. Thank you!!!"
"This is a review for Inova Laboratories - Springfield Endocrinology. I had my blood drawn at this location twice already. Mahogany is awesome! It took less than a minute for her to draw the required vials of blood from me and the incision was pain free. Next time I need my blood work taken, I will just schedule from this location and have Mahogany do her magic!"
"Tried to schedule an appointment, and was told I needed my PC’s referral (besides the one used for insurance purposes). Alright, went to my primary care to get a referral. My PC printed it as part of clinical notes to include all relevant info with it. Spoke with one Inova scheduler (Mariah?) who said it did not qualify as a referral. When I asked how was a referral supposed to look like, responded she would not release this information (is it top secret?). Called again to speak with another much nicer scheduler who explained that my paperwork had all the necessary info for a referral but it needs to be on a separate paper preferably prescription pad (take that 21st century). What a formalistic nightmare: the way this practice is guarded from “indiligent” patients, you’d think this is not a doctor’s office but a gold reserve depository. I can only suggest that if such referral is a part of the policy, Inova should provide a printable standardized form to be filled out by a referring physician. Think about it. P.S. made an appointment with another practice no problem yet plus shorter wait. When I asked if at any point in time they would request a doctor’s referral in a very specific but yet secret format, they were quite puzzled by my question."
"Scheduling staff thinks they are authorized to diagnose patients. Phone system and website constantly broken, can't schedule appointments online (wrong org code) or over the phone (Spent 6hrs on the phone trying to book an appointment and kept being hung up on when connected to an agent). Rude, disorganized staff. Claim they've never heard of my diagnosis (Type 1.5 diabetes managed as type 2), and refuse to schedule an appointment even with a referral. Glad the person I spoke with is not my doctor because I'm sure there are millions of diseases she hasn't heard of. That still does not give her the right to deny me an appointment."
