"Very good experience. Dr. Gonzalez was very professional and explained everything well and also answered questions. He also seemed to be very concerned bout questions and when I felt like I didn’t understand he explained where I did."
"Dr. Gonzalez was the first of 5 neurologists across the state of Georgia (including Emory) to figure out that my neurological issues I'd had for over a decade stemed from bvFTD. (Behavioral Frontotemporal Dementia) FTD is a lesser known dementia than Alzheimer's because it usually attacks younger ages (40s for me). After 5 or 6 comprehensive tests, he figured out this devastating disease by PET scan, a disease that Many doctors are unaware. He was empathetic and sympathetic when he gave me the news and did not get upset with me when I began to go through the stages of grief... denial being the first. Thank you for your kindness and especially your expertise, sir!"
"I enjoyed my visit..Dr Gonzalez was very professional. He asked good questions to understand why I was in his office. I felt confident that he would help me. I look forward to working with him after my MRI results are ready. Thank you Dr. Gonzalez!"
"He has been good so far handling my migraine and giving me a diagnosis, but this last time I went to see him he was in a hurry. He didn’t took time to explain anything. He was with me max 5 min and left the room. Front office people were very nice."
"( doesn't listen to patients, arrogant, lack of empathy, refused me a brain scan, placed me on a medicine I should not have been prescribed. ) I saw him when I was seventeen (2017) and he did not take me seriously in anyway. When he asked me when my migraines started, he acted like he did not believe me and stated "how old are you again? I have a daughter about your age" before continuing to insist how 'strange' it was for me to have such intense migraines from a young age. He was horribly unprofessional. I tried to give him in depth information about my ocular migraines after he told me to keep track of them for a week or so. I had notes written out about each one. When I tried to discuss them with him he took the list from me counted them, tossed it back to me, and then 'diagnosed' me then and there with "chronic migraines", he prescribed me a medicine, and kicked me out of his office. He didn't listen to a thing I said, so I tried to ask questions. He brushed me off and said if the medicine did not work he would give me the brain scan I wanted. Two medicine prescriptions after that, I gave up on my scans. He even placed me on an antidepressant without any warning of what it was, which I ended up having a horrible reaction to. The first thing I found out when I googled it was that it should never be prescribed to someone with a history of bipolar disorder in immediate family. Which he would have known was an issue if he cared to ask me anything. He never told me about any side effects for any of my medicines and two ended up having sever effects. All I wanted was a brain scan and all I got was treated like a liar and ineffective medicine I should not have been on."
