"My husband, James Bowen, is a patient of Dr Diella’s having had his shoulder replaced several years ago. Based on his experience, I scheduled an appointment to have the doctor assess my knee, which is causing me excruciating pain. At the time of making the appointment I provided my insurance information to the office. Upon arriving at the time of the appointment, I noticed I had left my insurance cards at home. The receptionist refused to allow me to see the doctor although I offered to drive back home and retrieve them. I cannot understand why this bureaucratic snaffu was more important than my medical care. My husband and I have witnessed other patients having the same issues but were allowed to see the doctors. Why was the wife of an established patient who is known to the doctor refused service over a matter such as this? Why was an exception not made? Surely your office understands that people make mistakes. I felt like the situation could have been handled much better. At this time, my husband and I are very disappointed with your office. Based on our history with your office, we feel we are owed the benefit of a doubt. This was an entirely avoidable situation."
