"On Jan 31st 2024 I arrived early to Baptist MD Anderson 8:15am. My first appointment started at 9am. From the time I stepped into this building. I was impressed with the lobby from the get go. I found the area I needed to check in for my first appointment. Very professional people and helpful. Telling me since I was early there was a cafe on the 3rd floor. But to be back by 9am to start my first appointment. I went to the 3rd floor cafe. As I got off the elevator I could smell the bacon cooking. Once in the cafe I got a fruit drink and a toasted bagel. Then I found a seat to look out on the beautiful day. I enjoyed my breakfast then I went back to the 1st floor for my first appointment. Then I was taken to the 6th floor and waited for my turn to see the health care personnel and my Doctor. My first visit went smoothly. And everyone knew their business of healthcare. I was given instructions by my Doctor that I have already put forth. And blood work done on February 12th 2024. At MD Anderson Baptist. My blood thinner changed to Eliquis 5mg twice daily. I started this new blood thinner on Feb 1st 2024. Well I believe it gave me a "side effect I soon will not forget on Feb 5th 2024." I called my Doctors office at MD Anderson Baptist. I was told to stop taking Eliquis 5mg then start taking it again on Feb 9th 2024. Well that wasn't going to happen. Look I'm not a Doctor but I have been taking a Blood thinner called Xarelto since April 2014. And my last blood clot was November 2017. So I asked my Doctors nurse or PA to put me back on Xarelto 20mg and my Doctor said fine. I have been taking Xarelto 10mg since Nov 2017. But I'm older now and not in the best of health. So Xarelto 20mg it is. With my Compression socks, I still have faith in MD Anderson Baptist and my Doctor. Let's move forward and get back to a better place with my health. Yours Truly God's Love."
