"I have been burping like a 10 year old boy for many many months now. He did the test where you go through the mouth and so everything looks fine. They told me to try over-the-counter meds. I have had three open-heart surgeries I cannot take just any freaking meds you want me to take! Now I have liver issues and my doctor referred him back in March and he can't get me until July July!! From my understanding from my blood work my liver may be failing and he can't get me until July! I myself am looking for another doctor I will not go back! I agree with everyone else that has said that he doesn't care and neither does his staff! I hope he's not the only one around here that can do this stuff because I am looking for another doctor oh, because I would like to be seen before July oh, because I would like to live beyond July!"
"I've been a patient for many years and actually changed over to Dr. Dozer, since having problems with reaching my former Gastrologist. Within, a few years of his list of patients growing he was no longer available to meet their needs. My first question to Dr. Dozer was are you making yourself available if your patients are in trouble or become ill; his answer was absolutely. Wrong it's been years and he's cancelled more appts and his front line staff has played people and failed to relay messages; to no avail. Once, for three days left message and after being on hold and explaining my situation to the person answering phone she took msg and then said their policy is 24-48 hr return call applies. What the heck how does this help your patients? When I told her I had called for three days and left messages, she acted like she couldn't hear me and simply hung up. This is the worth of a patient to these people and doctors. No doctor Dozer you did not make yourself available to your patients."
"I spent years with some stomach issues that Dr. Dozer and his team solved in a few days, I was also told the year prior that I had some troubling areas during a colonoscopy, that Dr. Dozer's team ruled out completely. He's better than the last 3 Specialist I've had combined and I've sent several people over the years to him from work and he's solved their problems aswell. He's not a miracle worker, but he's as close as you're going to get. Also, his staff are incredibly professional, organized, polite and work in a timely manner which is not something I'm used to."
"This is by far the worst doctor! Do yourself a favor and find someone else. I don't know if he is too busy or just that incompetent or both. I had a colonoscopy and endoscopy and only met him 1 min before the procedure every other appointment was with incompetent staff and always has an excuse why he couldn't make it to the appointment or they will outright lie and say he is with another patient that he got backed up.I would have dropped him long ago but I already spent thousands on the procedure I was hoping to get something our of it. I guess I have to start all over. WHAT A LOSER!"
"I am very sorry to say that I am very disappointed in Dr. Dozer's staff. Despite numerous phone calls to their office to ask that they please return my calls, I did not get any response. Today I called again and was able to actually talk to Emily Harrell's MA, Quita (?). I thought she was rude and short and without any empathy or kindness at all. I am sorry if she is stressed and overworked or whatever, but this should not be taken out on me. When I said I didn't understand why my phone calls were not returned and that after 2 weeks, I had still not received a copy of the reports as requested, I said that I was frustrated. Her response was "Yeah, well you were frustrated last time." What??!!! On a happier note however, I was very impressed with Emily Harrell, P.A. who I saw twice. She is very knowledgeable and was helpful with my gastro problems. I also like Dr. Dozer. However, there seems to be a significant problem with communication in their office. I wonder if either Emily or Dr. Dozer realize that this is happening because it is certainly a bad reflection on his office. I am tempted to find another physician who employs staff who are helpful, responsive and understanding. I am an RN myself and do not believe I am "bad" patient. I worked in a doctor's office for 9 years and understand the importance of prompt feedback and a caring demeanor. This is not the situation in this office."
