"I usually don't like to write reviews until I have visited a couple of times and having visited over 4 times now, I feel confident to write an unbias review. When you go, ask for Tonyce. Tonyce is amazing! I am a regular runner so muscle aches and tension is usually the norm for me, however, each time I visit and Tonyce works with me, I leave feeling like a bird that can fly! Tonyce is so experience, you won't be disappointed. Another pro is that I can always get an appointment quickly. I go there once a month and I am usually able to get Tonyce especially when I schedule in advance. I like the Sunna and steam room although I mostly use the steam room before the massage so that the oils penetrate and facilitate to relax my muscles. The lounge is beautiful, however, if you plan to relax at the lounge, make sure to go early, otherwise, your appointment time could be compromised for lateness. You can also use the lounge after your service. I used to go to the Mandarin Oriental Spa which is now called Salamander, I have also visited the Spa at W Hotel DC. I started visiting The Willard after Salamander closed and now I can say that The Willard Spa is my favorite."
"This was the WORST spa experience I have ever had. This was a birthday gift, which I went in for on my birthday. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a rude receptionist along with the masseuse Marion who was also very rude. There was no sense of hospitality. My appointment was at 1. I showed up around 12:55 and they had me spend 10 minutes filling out forms. Then I was walked back to the locker room and told to take my time getting ready and my masseuse will be ready at my convenience. I changed and walked in for my massage at 1:20. Then my masseuse Marion says the 50 minute massage that I had scheduled would only be 30 minutes given that we were starting late. Late because you had me fill out a bunch of forms and told me to take my time in the locker room. I then had to also wait a few minutes in the waiting room waiting for Marion to show up, which further cut into the time. There was no sense of customer service or great hospitality for an EXPENSIVE massage, even on my birthday. Marion then proceeded to give a rushed, terrible massage. It felt like she was just rubbing oil all over - with no sense of pressure or asking what I wanted to focus on. All in all it was a TERRIBLE experience and I would not recommend this to anyone. I have gotten a ton of messages in my life and this was by far the WORST. Don't waste your time or your money."
"I went to the Willard for a massage for my birthday. My experience was lovely! Tonice and Hallie were so kind and the whole experience from the phone call to book, (with Hallie) to the massage (with Tonice), to the check out with a gift bag was easy and warm. I will be back!"
"Update: Have gone to Senka for facials regularly since that first visit, she is the best I ever had. I stopped by this hotel spa when visiting DC and ended up with absolutely great facial and absolutely great massage. I will be doing it again whenever in town, highly recommend!"
"I treated myself to a 50 min massage after a long, hot day of walking and site seeing. The Spa at the Willard is nothing too fancy but the 5 star review is for the magnificent massage by Tonyce! She is definitely experienced and took the time to really focus on the specified areas I needed attention on. There is also a sauna and steam room you can use, which was a plus!"
