"I went to Gioe in 1997 with ulcers around 2016 I started back going back with severe pain in my stomach and everytime he would just laugh I had Irritable bowel syndrome and give me anti depressants well it was getting worse he would not run any test and acted like I was just wanting pain pills , my regular physician did some CT scans my Gallbladder was only functioning 40% and was enlarged they also found I had 4 receptors that we’re sending my bowels in the wrong directions causing so much pain also plus I had ulcers that wouldn’t heal I had to have gallbladder removed , half my stomach removed and reconstruction of my intestines . All because he wouldn’t even listen it was go in and how fast he could get out . After surgery I ended up on Life support with 5% chance to survive with I survived no thanks to him ."

"I'd give 0 stars if I could. He was so negligent with my care that I ended up needing an emergency liver transplant, which also entailed being air lifted to Mobile, AL then flown to Atlanta, GA for the actual transplant. I saw him in his office on a Monday (he said I was fine), by Wednesday I was in the emergency room and by Saturday I was having an emergency liver transplant. Save yourself and your loved ones and avoid him at all costs. I almost died at the age of 14 because of this man."

"Dr. Scott Gioe performed a colonoscopy on me that was a wellness benefit completely covered by my insurance company. When I made the appointment I asked again to confirm that it was 100% covered and the clinic assured me that there would be no cost to me. A few weeks later I received a bill from the clinic for $75. When I called to determine what the bill was for I was told that it was for a "bedside visit" after my colonoscopy to give me the results. I was not even awake when he came by and he only told my friend that everything was fine and I needed more fiber. It took about 30 seconds to say this and leave. I contacted my insurance company and was told this was not a customary charge. I have left numerous messages for the clinic administrator to dispute this charge and she has yet to respond. They are now sending a notice threatening to turn me over to a collection agency. This clinic only cares about your money and is engaging in deceptive practices. Beware!"

"Dr. Gioe is one of my favorite Dr.'s, he's awesome! He treats his patients with respect, he was my uncle's Dr. as well as mine, when I was told that my uncle needed a gastroenterologist I did he should ask for him and they did unfortunately my uncle is no longer here but Dr. Gioe tried to make him as comfortable as possible which I really appreciated that. Thanks Dr. Gioe for being here your amazing. I'm glad your my Dr."

"Amazing staff and the doctor has a wonderful bedside manner. He actually listened to what I had going on. I was a new patient with an appt at 3pm. I was asked to come in at 2:30 for paperwork. Paperwork took 10 minutes. I was called back at 2:50 and seen by the doctor at 3:05. I have to have some additional work done at a seperate loacation and the doctor planned it all out during my visit with him and was very accomodating to my schedule. I highly recommend."
