Reviews
"We feel that our mother could have been taken better care of. But it's not very satisfied with colonial rehab. Each to their own"
"I broke my leg and went there. I am 84. It did not WANT TO GO HOME! They are a superb nursing group and they direct you in only good directions. BTW, the nursing is top notch as are the people in charge of your recovery like in therapy. Let me just mention Stephen as a very inspirational therapist who kept you on the straight and narrow and did a good job of it."
"My father was told he did not qualify for admittance. Despite our disappointment, we respected their decision until member of the nursing staff (whose identity shall not be disclosed) informed my mother that he was denied a bed and treatment because he lacks the appropriate connections. This is one of the greatest acts of betrayal an organization has bestowed upon one of the most outstanding members of their community. My father honorably served the state of Alabama and our nation as a military officer for over 30 years (mostly in the Alabama Army National Guard). He served our state's and nation's veterans admirably for over 30 years in the Veterans Administration. Instead of using his talents, education, and unmatched determination to make connections at the Colony Rehabilitation Center and to maximize his financial earnings, he dedicated himself to providing unparalleled service to our nation and our brothers and sisters. My father has donated tens of thousands of dollars and countless hours of labor in support of his community's homeless, sick, and others in need within Mobile and Baldwin counties. Yet, my father was shunned by the Colony Rehabilitation Center, apparently for not being someone's golfing buddy. My fathers service and sacrifices do not entitle him to preferential treatment over others, nor would he ever ask for it. But as his son I must ask: What more do you expect from my father? What else must he do before he receives the health care he needs and deserves?"
