He got me in right away for the colonoscopy, where he found cancer, told me both simply and in a straightforward manner, then arranged the surgery by Dr. Gavras right away. Then you folks, or Dr. Gavras, or both, arranged for me to start a round of chemotherapy quickly and again, efficiently, under the supervision of Dr. Dan Cameron at the Kilborn Center here in Fairhope. From the gentleman at the front door who does the valet parking to Dr. Cameron himself, they could not have been kinder... and even their phlebotomists seem especially good at their job. I have had almost constant, aggressive and difficult diarrhea ever since the surgery ... maybe before, too. I can’t remember. My only real trouble has been that I could have used more help with that, and though I reported it to Dr. Cameron and PA Bhadkamkar, their Prevalite wasn’t particularly helpful. I asked several times about seeing Dr. Winstead on that matter, but the return message I got was, “you’ll see him again in June.” That’s been a long, miserable wait. When I did finally get in to see him, in April, his advice to leave off dairy (hadn’t occurred to me) helped a lot, though not conclusively. I figure we had a snarl in communications somewhere. It’s not been an easy trip, but I think my experts, including Dr. Winstead, have made it the best it could be. Thank you."

"Dr Winstead and his staff are not truly concerned with the health and well being of their patients. The bottom line for them is MONEY. If they were truly concerned with health over money they would try to work out a financial arrangement for people who need it. You can pay the full amount today? Then get out, the Dr won't see you. Your health and well being are not as important as your money."
