It saddened me that he left. Dr. Sonmezturk is by far the best neurologist that I have seen since I started having my seizure 6 years ago. He is the only one that listened to me, explain in term that I understood what was going on with me. He explained his plan. I left there with a positive attitude feeling that someone cares and is going to work with me to get me back to a normal life."

"Dr. Turk is the most amazing neurologist we have come across. I have had to see neurologists for over 40 years for my daughters who have seizure disorders. I’ve been happy with other dr’s but never as impressed as I have been with Dr. Turk. He has amazing bedside manner, he is calm, he listens and he explains. Dr. Turk also has the best communication than ANY doctor I’ve seen or even heard of. He always calls personally, never his staff, he is usually very quick to respond(usually w/in 48 hrs). He has been on vacation and called me because I left a message on the portal, it was the middle of the night for him but he wanted to call me at the most convenient time for me. He is patient yet determined to get his patients to the highest functioning level he can. He’s given us information no other neurologist has ever chosen to share with us. People must keep in mind Dr’s are human, not gods, they have no magic cure. You must be patient, there’s a lot of fine tweaking and failures. If you aren’t willing to give patience and time, then you will never get the best results. This doctor is fully committed to helping his patients, he is a god send!"

"I have seen Dr Turk only once and he is far better than the other two I had at the same office. They were nice people; they were just non communicative, and my appointments were Doc: "have you had a seizure?" Me: "no." Doc: "okay, see you next year." I was never comfortable with that. Communication is very important to me and so far, I'm impressed with Dr. Turk. At our initial appointment together, he wasn't rushed, and we discussed my medical history and any questions I had. After my EEG, he called me to explain the results and talk to me about his game plan. When I looked up the medication, I found some worrisome side effects and emailed him about my concerns and within an hour he called me. He sat there on the phone with me for probably 30 minutes discussing the medication. He isn't pushy about me taking the medication which makes me feel listened to. I do understand if I have another seizure, I will have no choice but to be on it, but right now I feel like I have time to make a more educated decision about if it's right for me at this moment. I've been massively burned before by an SH gynecologist who prescribed me unnecessary medication and tried to schedule me for an unnecessary invasive procedure."
