"The new facility is beautiful. I would give it a five, except for an incident that needs to be addressed. I went to the emergency room with what I suspected was appendicitis. I had an abdominal pain on the lower right side and nausea (throwing up). They got me through triage and into a bed fairly fast, which surprised me with the large number of people in the waiting room. The nurse was pleasant and very efficient. The doctor breezed through and told me they were going to give me a CT scan to better determine the problem. The CT tech was very abrupt and extremely unhelpful, which I thought was unlike the staff that I am used to dealing with at this hospital, but it was over quickly and I was returned to my room. About an hour later, a nurse appeared and informed me I had a kidney stone, and they were giving me some prescriptions and sending me home. I never saw the doctor again and was never told how big the stone was and where it was located, just that I had one and here's your prescriptions and that there is a 24 hour pharmacy somewhere up on nine mile road. Well, since it was after 11 pm. at that point and I had dragged my neighbor away from his dinner and his bedtime, I decided to wait until the next day to get the medications. Besides, the pain was gone. The next day, when I took the prescriptions to the pharmacy, they discovered the opioid one was a copy and not to be used to dispense the drug. I tried several times throughout the day to call the emergency department to get the correct prescription, but every time I was put on hold, I waited several minutes, and the call was terminated. It is now two days later, and i still don't have my pain medicine. Thankfully, I haven't had any pain. Number 1, why can't the hospital pharmacy be open 24 hours and they just give me the medication on the spot, and number 2, why is it so hard to get a problem resolved over the phone? Apparently, I have to return the prescription to the ER to get a correct one."
