"The hostess was either tired or agitated not friendly. The waitress was ok not sure she was a little distracted I don't think she had lunch and was running on fumes. We didn't get any bread. We ordered appetizers and they were good."

"Update: Wow. What an amazing experience today. Maybe my prior review acknowledged even. This location is special. A vibrant and clean Outback concept clearly led by good management that loves both customer and staff. The salad today was phenomenal. Eeyroe was proud to be in today's salad photo as it's how a pecan salad should be at every Outback. You can see, he was not present in the salad photo from a month ago. The wings were also very flavorful. S tad small in size for each wing, but still packing a nice well balanced bold flavor. Ans today there was even love for the baked potato, with the amazing salt prep turning average to great for the baker. So Eeyroe was proud to display this dish today, unlike last visit he hid under the table so not present in that visits photo where the baker failed to wow The ribeye, excellent and cooked perfectly per my mid-rare request. Not much to say about simple perfection. Specific kudos to Katelyn the server for being great and taking care of Eeyroe during this visit. Special thanks to Bobby the Manager. If every Outback was like this location and every Manager like Bobby across Outback, this would easily become the top steak franchise once again in the US. This location downtown B'ham is just special. Eeyore loves it! 5 tail spins for this location. PS - it was worth the flight just to land here for dinner at this location! Eeyroe did well navigating (see photo)... Original Review, April 2024: Great downtown location. Clean and modern. Service was a bit off on this visit, but I doubt that's the norm. Very nice server though. The food items were hit or miss. The salad was weak on proper balance and not quite the pecan chopped salad I hoped for. Maybe it was just a house salad with a couple pecans and a blue cheese crumble. The potato was straight up as expected, but lacked the proper salt I come to expect at Outback. The ribeye steak though, excellent. Perfect seasoning and cooked nice on the flame grill per my request. The ribeye was the highlight, as it should be. Some small tweaks to the salad and a little more love put into the baker would make this a special place and visit."

"This new location is perfectly decorated for the location. We had great service from a very friendly server, and had a pleasant conversation with a manager. The food was excellent. Even the Grilled Shrimp on the Barbie was cooked perfectly--not overdone. Salads were crisp and fresh. The baked potato was fresh, and the steaks were cooked to order. Keep up the good work!"

"Our server Kate was very knowledgeable even recommended the special for the day. Hoover the front of the house manager came and made sure we had a pleasant visit. Mo also came by to give us a warm welcome. We Will be back"
