"The treatment I received from the doctors in this practice did nothing to abate my symptoms from Lyme disease. When I recently asked them to order a new, advanced test to discern whether there was the DNA of this tick born disease still in my system, they refused to order it for me even though I planned to pay for it myself. "I called to make an appointment with Dr. Brown to followup on unusual results of blood tests that had been ordered by my primary care physician. I was twice advised that someone would call me to schedule an appointment. No one ever called. Furthermore, when I called his office I found they had simply put me off and had no intention of ever calling me back, either to make an appointment or to tell me they did not think Dr. Brown could help me with what had been found in my blood tests. This is unquestionably unprofessional of a physicians office to treat someone this way, plus it raises the question about the competence of Dr. Brown; did he not recognize the pathogens reported in my blood work or simply not think he was capable of helping me with the ill effects they were causing me? I now have less interest in seeing Dr. Brown than he has in seeing me. My infection was two tick borne diseases which are very serious. Fortunately I have found a very competent infectious disease doctor who understands how to diagnose and treat these diseases, of which the GOOD Dr I found diagnosed the presence of all four tick diseases, including several strains of Lyme (Borellia), and Babesiosis. I recommend anyone who suspects they have a tick borne disease infection, do not bother to call Dr brown, or worse yet Dr. Madariaga, neither knows how serious Bartonella or Rickettsia is, plus the likelihood that if you have these two diseases you likely also may have Babesia and Borellia Drs Brown and Madariaga had no suspicion that I might have these other two serious infections and sent me away with no follow up testing even though I was, at that time, seriously Ill with 4 Diseases; 9 infections total counting different strains of Lyme and Babesiosis. If you suspect you have a tick born disease Call Dr. James Schaller. I wouldn’t call Brown or Madariaga for anything, they knew nothing about tick borne diseases even when presented with positive lab test results from a certified lab, so I have no reason to believe they would identify any other serious infection either."

"I think Dr Brown saved my life. I was under treatment by dr vato who did nothing for me. After only one appt he said go to infectious disease for treatments. He put me on daily Amikacin & Tigecycline IV's which took anywhere from 2 hours to 4 for the daily IV's. I continued to get worse for 5 weeks. Slept all the time. Dr Brown came in one day. "I went into Dr Brown after seeing over a dozen specialists over the years. No one could figure out what was wrong with me. By the time I got to him I had hardly any hope.
