"Dr. Pennisi extended my life expectancy. During my annual physical he detected an irregular sound in my heart beat. I had no physical symptoms of having a heart issue. I had been told by my previous doctors my heart made irregular sounds, but it was dismissed as not being an issue. Dr. Pennisi recommended I have tests performed. Testing revealed I had a genetically defective aorta valve. I had severe regurgitation where my aorta valve was not closing properly so my heart was over working trying to pump the blood volume my body required. My overburdened heart would of failed prematurely. Thanks to Dr. Pennisi and the NCH Heart Center I now have a new aorta valve and thankful my heart is now healthy."
