"After my colonoscopy with Dr. Julian Sison, I felt that the post-procedure interaction was lacking. I do not recall Dr. Sison introducing himself, and his communication seemed rushed and impersonal. As I was coming out of anesthesia, I had a few questions, but his demeanor suggested impatience and frustration. He stood about six feet away, partially hidden behind a curtain, which felt dismissive. When I mentioned that the bowel preparation did not work well for me, he responded by stating its high effectiveness rate among his patients and addressing my specific concerns as if they interfered with his agenda. This lack of personalized communication left me feeling frustrated. Overall, I found Dr. Sison's manner to be abrupt. Given the significant cost of these procedures, patients deserve thorough communication and respectful treatment. There is room for improvement in ensuring patients feel heard and adequately informed about what to do if the prep is not effective, well before the colonoscopy. This could help prevent an ineffective colonoscopy."
