"I called in to make an appointment in mid May for a shoulder issue I am having. I was told that Dr. Delight no longer wanted to see me as a patient because of a previous balance on my account. I wanted to reach out to Dr. Delight to explain the strange circumstances that caused this temporary delinquency. Most importantly, that, as soon as I was made aware of the small balance on my account, I paid it. It was discovered that the bills were being sent to an address in Ft. Myers. It was the wrong house number, street, city and zip. It’s a shame that I am left with the task of starting over with another doctor because of miscommunication/clerical error. We attempted to communicate this message through my patient portal which has been discontinued. We then used my wife’s portal and was told communication of another patient isn’t permitted through her portal. I feel it’s important to have a personal rapport with your doctor. They are the ones providing advice and guidance on your health. In addition to trying to reach her through electronic options, I have called in and requested a call back from Dr. Delight on two occasions and finally sent a certified letter to her. Today is June 23 and I have not yet received a call, an email, a letter…nothing! It’s literally the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a physician. I am on several medications that will run out soon and now have this shoulder issue. As of now, I am left to feel that I have been abandoned. Also of note, I have never received anything from this office indicating that I am no longer a patient. Is that even legal? Don’t let her name fool you; this type of patient care is anything but a delight! My wife and I have decided to find another primary care provider. As hard as it is to switch and start over, we will be doing so. The lack of professionalism and general patient courtesy has left us less than confident in her."
"I came in crying because I thoughtt I might have ectopic pregnancy. So i told the doctor she said i was hormonal and overreacting. Sent me home no tests or anything. I ended up tubal litigation at emergency room few weeks later! Now i haven’t had to have any children only my son who will now grow up with No siblings and nothing I can do now….. Never trust someone who cant take a minute to actually care enough to check for you!!"
"Between the back-handed passive aggressive comments downgrading your situation and bringing to light her valuable time AND the misdiagnosis or diabetic issues, which I’m not at all diabetic, I would not recommend. She’s got too many things going on in her life to manage anyone else’s concerns. How do I know this? well, she told me about them in MY appointment and it was not warranted. She did order my scripts in a timely fashion, it’s the little things."
"I would not recommend Dr. DeLight to anyone. Not proactive at all on my health concerns and if I had a question about anything else that was bothering me she said I would have to make another appointment to take about that. Also I would schedule my appointment with her as her 1st patient in the morning and would wait in exam. room for up to 30 min. or tela health 1 times never showed onto our call Waited for 40 min. called the office to tell them. then I missed an appointment and she discharged me from the practice. I called have my cholesterol prescriptions refilled until I could bet into my new dr (in 3mo) and would not refill as she had already exited me from the practice. Now I sit for 3 months with no medicine."
