"My doctor of 25 years retired and someone suggested Dr Robert Wallace as a HIV doctor. I have to say off all my years going to the best infectious Disease specialist I was extremely disappointed with Robert Wallace. Absolutely no compassion for someone being 36 years HIV positive. He had to be always right and I could never have a discussion with him without him belittling me and making me feel bad about myself. I has involved in a serious motorcycle accident in a hit and run. He didn't believe I has in extreme pain and accused me of falsifying my pain.I was seeing a Orthopedic doctor for my broken clavicle and he would prescribed me a mild pain medication and doctor Wallace accused me of doctor shopping saying that I was going to numerous doctors to receive pain medications and accused me of being a drug addict and that I was doctor shopping in which I have never done. He prescribed me numerous medications that made me extremely sick and accused me of not telling the truth. When my previous doctor retired I had a huge file of all the problems I had and all the testing I have been through that were all facts. He refused to look of many years of test that I have gone through and he said that he doesn't do that and we are family and to start fresh. Having ADHD, Depression,PTSD all documented from a Neurologist that I did numerous tests and year off seeing a very knowledgeable doctor that specializes in this issues that were all documented. He refused to look at any of these facts and didn't believe I these kinds of issues and left me untreated. For seeing him for a little over a year my health declined and my t cells dropped to less then 100 and my viral load went up to the highest it ever was. I was hospitalized numerous times and not once did he being my my primary care provider come to the hospital unlike my previous doctor. If you are a long time survivor and in need of a understanding caring doctor that understands being HIV for many decades and being in my late 50 that even if you take care of yourself and take your medications properly you will indeed eventually start having issues one day. Sadly Robert Wallace was the most uncaring , unprofessional, unknowable doctor I have ever seen. If you are a long term survivor with HIV and need a doctor that specializes with the necessary treatments and is proactive with your needs and generally cares about your wellbeing and overall quality of life, this is not the doctor I would suggest to absolutely no one.Just the little over a year him being my primary HIV doctor he almost killed me. My health and mental condition is the worst it has ever been. Please don't rely in this doctor if you care about your wellbeing. Honestly I don't think he qualified and knowledge in the treatment that is necessary with someone that has a weaken immune system and is proactive with the necessary treatments available to help you succeed in life of having this illness from a very young age. I pray that anyone that reads this and actually cares about their health and well-being please don't trust and but you life in the hands of this doctor! As I lay in bed at the hospital I write this having a extreme case of pneumonia and MRSA that all could have prevented with the proper care and I let this happen because I believed in him."
