"I only been to her twice first time was okay, second time I will never go again. I felt she was unsympathetic about what I was going through. She diagnosed me wrong. I ended up having to go to emergency 2 hours later after my appointment with her. I would of suffered in pain waiting on her to refer me to get an ultrasound which emergency did right then and there, what they told me was different than what she said it could be. I quickly got another primary care physician. I wouldn't recommend her and she gets negative stars from me."
"Love the Dr. cannot stand the staff specifically the LGBTQ guy. Every single time I call he acts like I’m bothering him. Says he will take of things and doesn’t. "After my experience here, if I could give negative stars, I would. The company I work for requires employees to have an annual physical. After calling around to many offices to make an appointment, but not being able to get in within months, I was able to make an appt. at the dr.'s office of Lissa Jean Pierre for this service. I explained to the receptionist that I needed an annual physical for my job and under my insurance, it's covered 100%. At my appointment in March, I saw Lissa Jean Pierre and confirmed with the receptionist that I was only there for an annual physical for my job. I restated this to the nurse and then again to the doctor at the beginning of the visit when she asked why I was there, as well as multiple times during the visit because she attempted to talk about other things. I told her all I wanted to do was the annual physical and nothing else that isn't covered 100% by my insurance. I subsequently received a bill for this visit and assumed that it must have been a billing code mistake so I called Access's billing dept. after speaking with a gentleman (I think the nurse) at the dr. office. The woman from Access's billing, Randi, told me on the phone that my insurance requires me to be an established patient before I could have an annual physical. When I called UHC, Marissa explained there is no such requirement from UHC so she put me on hold and called Access's billing. She got back on the phone with me and told me that Randi (now changing her story) told her that it's a requirement of their doctor. office, NOT UHC. I was NEVER informed that I needed to be an established patient or that the initial visit would be billed as such during any interaction with the doctor's office. If I had been informed of this, I would NOT have seen the doctor. The dr. billed me for a service that I did not request and did not see them for, even after repeating myself at least half a dozen times that I was there only for an annual physical covered 100% by my insurance. I called and made an appointment for the annual physical, and saw the doctor twice, and at no point did anyone ever tell me they would bill for any service besides the annual physical. I've continued to receive several bills for this mistake on the dr.'s office's part, even after numerous calls and visits to the dr.'s office to get the billing fixed. I was told by multiple people from the dr.'s office and Access's billing, including the regional manager (a woman whom I spoke with during one of the subsequent office visits to get the billing corrected), that the coding would be corrected. It never was. The shady business practices, lack of professionalism, and lie after lie from Dr. Lissa Jean Pierre's office are absolutely astounding to me. I will never go back to see her, or any other dr. within the Access healthcare group. Due to her office's negligence and failure to correct the billing codes the way they informed me they would, I've ended up in trouble at work since my company looks at insurance claims and there was never a claim for the annual physical. This is an example why people would rather stay at home and be sick than go to see a doctor. If someone from Access can correct this mistake and refund the payment I made (since I didn't want the bill to be sent to collections and ruin my credit), I'm happy to accept something in writing. Until then, the Access Health group, and Dr. Jean Pierre will never see me as a patient again."
