HCA Florida Lake Tarpon Emergency

"I am very disappointed in this hospital. I took my 13 year old son there to get checked for Covid 19. As we get called in to do my son’s vitals the nurse Chris was extremely rude. My son has ADHD and suffers from extreme anxiety. She did not like that I was answering for him and her attitude towards us got worse. We go into the room and she’s asking questions I’m answering while my son is on the bed listening to his music to calm his nerves down. She raised her voice and proceeded to take my son’s phone out of his hands and yelled at him to get off his phone. She then asked a question about if we have been around anyone sick. I answered no not that we know of I said school just started so I’m not sure. She then came back in a rude tone toward me and said let me reword that so you can understand have you been around anyone you know that is sick! I was Furious on how rude and disrespectful this nurse Chris was working on the pediatrics side. I have gone to this facility multiple times and every time my experience has became worse. I will not go back to this hospital again even if it’s convenient for me as I live right behind the hospital in Fox Chase"

"DO NOT GO HERE! I visited HCA because of an awful sinus infection, a reoccuring issue I have. Upon arriving around 9:30pm, I was taken directly to see the nurse and Dr. No one asked if I had insurance or gave me any information at all. I saw the doctor and nurse, who I must say were very nice and efficient, and was given a strep,covid and flu rapid test. They then proceeded with giving me a perscription for antibiotics and corticosteroids for my infection along with my first dose of treatment of this. While being seen, I had to process a payment for 200$ and when I asked about my insurance the nurse said she wasn't able to provide any information at all. This is when I started reading reviews about the pricing and billing at this place and got so nervous after reading awful reviews about unjustifiable bills. I just got the bill from my health insurance and HCA charged my insurance $10,500 USD and I am then charged over $3,700 USD from my insurance company. DO NOT GO HERE unless you want to spend thousands of dollars on quick visits or you are in a life and death situation. Unbelievable. This place is a scam."

"My husband's blood pressure was high so we went there. While the staff was very nice, we were only there maybe, maybe 30 minutes or less. The nurse that took his blood pressure did not consider 190 was to be alarmed by. He was told not to take his blood pressure daily because it causes stress and the reading would be high. We received a bill for approximately $2,000 just to take the blood pressure and no doctor was involved. Unreal!!!"

"There was no wait time! I was taken right back to a private room. Everyone was extremely kind with amazing bedside manor. The nurses and doctor worked quickly to perform the necessary tests needed to properly diagnosis me. I highly recommend going to HCA for your urgent medical needs!"

"From Maryland/Virginia and the hospital ERs were so stressful! But now I'm passed 20 weeks pregnant alone with husband and 3 toddlers moved to Florida ...I trust no one! first check up since I "conceived" because of my experiences & COVID I try to avoid buildings an do the holistic natural way .The Doctor truly was professional and knowledgeable he ordered all the test I needed to avoid missing any issues because I had a variety of minor complications that would have took me all week to test, Nurses were Amazing Larisa literally felt like a mom was in the room & Jenn so compassionate like a sister doing there job ... if I could give 10 stars or more I would ...very clean, great property & location ,very Effective, efficient and great equipment direct care they really held up the lot an was super sweet to my husband & kids! thankyou all and keep up the great work ,all the workers that stopped to checked on me were inviting positive and a great team of employees!"
