"The owner and operator, Bill, was a gentleman and very knowledgeable on all aspects of marine motors and boats! Highly recommended!"
"If google had the option for 0 starts that’s what this business would have gotten I kindly asked for change for a 20 and he said absolutely not the store can then my 14 year old was looking around his store and he told him to get out he was closed but the door was wide open and then proceeded to allow other customers to enter"
"Bill is a personable guy, however if you leave anything on consignment with him, get it in writing. He will tell you how much he is charging you after he sells the item. The buyer came to him from the ad I placed on Craigslist and he took $100 for a $750 purchase. Also he should know the rules on the boat ramp down the road from him. Told us $10 for each launch, but turns out it has to be paid advance and he was doing the driving. We got hit with two $50 fines for not not paying in advance."
"Brought him 1978 15hp evinrude. I knew it ran for 30 seconds when i bought the boat but besides that i didnt know if the impeller was good, if the compression was good, if the carb needed to be replaced cleaned or what. The gear case oil smelled bad so i thought maybe it needs to be replaced. Well im fairly new to these engines and after searching youtube on how to change the impeller or clean / replace gaskets in the carb there was no way i could do it with out messing something up or getting frustrated so im glad i brought it to Bill. He checked compression, changed the gear oil, did the carb, impeller and some other things im not mentioning in just a day or so. Now my engine is good to go, and for the labor and parts the end price was fair. The carb / impeller can be a pain so definitely worth it! he even showed me how to use it because ive never used a tiller outboard before which was cool."
"I had a lower unit break a shaft and looked forever trying to find one without any result. I wasn't going to buy an expensive rebuilt one or trust someone that wasn't local. I contacted my new friend here at Ft Island Marine and he was straight up with me on the issues and cost. If you need a trustworthy and quick turnaround this is the place to go. Sir I thank you for everything you have done for me and am very greatful. R."
