"I am happy to suggest Strickland Roofing for your roofing needs. Our home is in the Old Northeast of St Petersburg and had 1996 shingles on the main house and 2005 shingles on the garage apartment. Strickland was recommended to me by a neighbor that is an architect and she used them on several of her projects as well as on her home. They are a smaller company and I was glad to get a recommendation from someone that had used them over a period of time. I requested 2 other quotes from well respected contractors and Strickland had quite competitive pricing. The steepness of our roof (12"x12") made it a complicated job that required safety harnesses and a lot of coordinated effort by the Strickland team. The job took 6 working days because of the complexity of the roof. Amos is the lead person that coordinates their team. He is easy going, very knowledgeable about roofing, and a pleasure to work with. They have their own full-time 4-man crew that was just fantastic. They were on the job by 7:30 in the morning and did not stop until 7:30 in the evening. Super hard working craftsmen that did a great job. I appreciated that they also cleaned up after each day. They incorporated hurricane clips as well as enhancing ventilation with a ridge vents on both structures. The new roof along with the hurricane clips will reduce our home owners insurance by about 30%. The inspector that authored the wind mitigation report that is necessary to submit to insurance was very positive about what he saw when inspecting the new roof. Overall, replacing our roof was a big decision. We are happy we made the decision to go with Strickland."

"At first we were very pleased with our roof and its 10 year warranty. Unfortunately, they failed to install any roof ventilation and we now have a mold problem that endangers the structural integrity of the base wood and our health. We are waiting to hear back about them fixing it but it has been over a month since we made contact and nothing has been done. I will update this review if we are able to solve this problem but until then I would say STAY AWAY FROM STRICKLAND."
