"After interviewing several contractors, my husband and I went with Scott Blair/Seneca Construction; we could not be happier with our decision. Scott met with us on several occasions before he started our full renovation (bathroom, kitchen- floor to ceiling). He started when he said he would and finished ahead of schedule. He answered the phone every time I called, was on site daily, and responded to emails."

"We chose not to work with Scott Blair due to his unprofessionalism. Our realtor recommended him, but I should researched, and read reviews, prior to considering. It appears that many have had a poor experience working with Scott Blair and Seneca Construction. We wasted a good amount of time, but I am thankful this contractor showed his true colors before we agreed to a job in writing. The Seneca website states, "We are dedicated and committed to providing the very best in construction services to our customers. At the root of our commitment, is a highly collaborative approach to work closely with owners, architects and design professionals, engineering resources, City/County planning and permitting services, cost analysts and schedulers in order that the client can make informed decisions leading to a timely project finish of the highest quality and of true value." In our experience, this is FAR from the truth. Scott really had no interest in hearing what we, as home owners, we were looking for or our budget. We met with him, in our home, and spent three weeks trying to agree upon projects that would be within our budget, but every time we spoke his line items, anticipated work, and price changed. He was rude and extremely unorganized. He never returned calls, when I did get him on the phone he was very rude, and definitely treated my husband VERY differently than he treated me, a woman, which was the icing on the cake. Home owners, especially women, should be aware. As a business owner myself I would NEVER treat a customer the way he treated us. Steer clear of Seneca and Scott Blair, you'll certainly save yourself some trouble and a headache. If anyone has recommendations for an honest, respectful, trustworthy, and kind contractor please send them my way!!"

"Although St. Petersburg is going through through some growing pains, there are several decent commercial building companies out there that do things right. Seneca it’s not one of them. This company has done a terrible job ushering in a new business in the neighborhood, and this business will suffer because of it."
