"I hired this company to tear down and rebuild an attached lanai into a room with hip roof that matched the rest of the house. After his engineer gave us the go ahead and drew up plans for the roof which he said we could build on the existing foundation, I thought the project would begin. The start date came and went. My phone calls for the next 2 months were never returned. I finally contacted another contractor who discovered the foundation under the lanai had no footing. I'm glad the work had not begun as it would not have been safe. Sand Palms never bothered to dig into the ground to check. I'm only out the $550. that I paid their engineer who refused to modify the plans and screamed at me for the mistake! I trusted Sand Palms when I was told the foundation was stable enough to support a roof. I know better now."
