"Meters don't tell you when to remove your card so you think they're broken. I spent an hour trying to figure it out before a city official came and helped me and other groups who also couldn't pay. The worst part is before helping us, probably that same city official gave me a ticket for an expired meter because of the hour it took me to actually pay for the spot I was in."
"The machine to pay for parking is confusing to use. At first the machine didn't seem to read my credit card because the screen just kept repeating the same step so I changed the card, a payment of $4.50 processed, and then I got a notification on my phone from the first card that $3 went through. Based on what I paid, I should have gotten more than the 1 hour they gave me. I came back to the car and found a $77 citation. Thanks to the rigged machine and the fact that I don't have the time to fight it in court, I have wasted $84.50 on a trip to the beach that I was in for an hour and a half max. If you decide to park here, take a picture of the screen with what you paid."
"They sent us an option to extend our time via text which we did. Then got a ticket within the alloted time frame. Can't contest ticket as we were leaving town at that moment. The guy giving us the ticket said we couldn't do it that way.. They shouldn't offer that option if it doesn't work! The fine they gave us was $77! And we did everything they told us to do."
"Watch out! They’re very strict. I arrived at 7:50 PM to an almost completely empty lot, and I almost got a ticket for not paying – except I noticed the enforcement guy walking around, so I went back and put my buck and a quarter in. Friendly guy, but I have no doubt he would’ve ticketed me if I hadn’t paid."
