"The beach is quite a long walk from the parking lot so take a wagon with you if you plan on carrying chairs or umbrellas to the beach. The beach wasn’t a great one for shelling and lacked appropriate signage to direct you to paths where some people had spotted manatees on the day I visited with my daughter."
"We were very pleased with this beach! It cost $8 cash (exact change) to get into the state park. When you arrive, there are multiple parking lots; however, parking lot #1 puts you closest to the beach. Once we parked in lot #2 and walked to lot #1, we waited for the free tram service. We had a loaded beach buggy and were able to put it on the tram. They had a lot to offer: clean restrooms, multiple trash cans, chair rentals, beach wheelchairs, etc. The only thing I would consider is having water shoes. The beach has a lot of shells, which is fun but hard to walk on."
"Great beach. Whether you're wanting to relax, hike or search for seashells; you will be happy you came here. Much more parking than the general public beaches. The free Tram service from the lot runs till 8pm."
"We went there for sunset pictures. Did not disappoint. It was a short walk from the parking lot to beach (.4 miles). I would suggest taking the free tram. And maybe some bug spray for the way back. Still worth the visit."
"Amazing park! Mangroves, a beach made of shells, and beautiful views. Not good for bare feet, I recommend sand shoes. Lots of cool spots to hide from the wind between the trees. Friendly and helpful staff and the tram was super cool."
