"A garage near the one of larger of attractions downtown gone bad. The lighting is flickering or is not working. All of the elevators have issues. The common issues with elevators are no ventilation or lighting. Its very dark at night and AM. In the afternoon/evening its extremely hot. The elevators go down frequently. The stairwells are unkept. 90% of the charging stations have broken clips or are unusable. For the monthly users they added a new feature. Recently they upgraded to plate scanning to enter and exit the garage. This is convenient when it works properly. The garage invested in this new tech but have it talking to the older system. This will cause you to get stuck leaving or entering the garage. If you have the means avoid this garage. in closing Hopefully one day they will clean it."
"The new parking system sucks. Every time I go to leave and insert my card, it says “card declined” I try Apple Pay. Declined. I try the QR Code. “ You don't have an active transaction to exit” It also doesn’t take cash. I press the assistant button and they ask for the last 4 of my card to look it up, “we don’t have an active session with that card” THEN HOW DID I GET IN? The old way was better. Push the button to get a card, insert it as you leave, then pay your amount with cash or card. if it ain’t broke don’t fix it."
"If I could give negative reviews I would. Avoid this place and go with street parking or anywhere else. The entrance was not working so the attendant lifted the gate and said to just take care of things when i left and it should not be a problem. When we went to leave the exit attendant would not be helpful at all citing I needed an entrance pass. I explained it many times but he called security on us. We had three calls to IT support to get it moving along and after all of it our rate went up in that time and nothing was done. This garage used to be our go to garage in St Pete. Now I would prefer paying more to just avoid this place. Watch out for this place. Oh another fun fact the movie theater used to validate parking but not anymore. truly go anywhere else!"
"Came to St. Pete on a Saturday afternoon, no major event in the area. Worst parking garage I ever encountered (the one on First Ave and First Street next to the Sundial ). No signage to inform you how to pay and the “one” machine to make payment is glitchy creating long lines and aggravated customers. (We paid at the machine on the first floor before we went to our car.) The line of cars leaving.. we have been waiting over an hour with no relief in site. Apparently there is no staff in this parking garage. We just heard from other patrons that people can't get out of the garage, the machines not working at the exit. The line of cars is backed up to the 6th floor. Do better. Communicate with patrons and give them multiple ways to pay with machine(s) that work. Have working staff help move traffic. This is a hazard! For such a busy area you should know better. ((((Update - 2.5 hours later)))) We called both Pinellas non-emergency service numbers to see if they could help patrons get out of the garage. There are several hundred people lined up trying to leave the garage. We were told multiple people called as well and there’s nothing that the police or fire department can do. Unless there was a medical emergency. Wow! This is a safety hazard and I’m disappointed that fire and police departments can’t do anything (won’t do anything) to get the parking company to open the gates if the machines are not working. Stay far away from any SP Plus Parking establishments!!"
