"Cabins? They are sheds! We rented the biggest one bc we wanted a private bathroom and thinking we were staying in a cabin. After a long day of driving I was atleast excited to take a shower, to find out the water wouldn't get hot. Thank god my husband is a jack of all trades and quickly realized the shower wasn't producing enough water flow to activate the heater out back to kick on. Fyi to take a hot shower you have to turn the hot water on in the kitchen sink and keep it on while you shower. We also found out on the last day we were there if it rains to much, that the cabin/shed sewage will back up. Nothing like being woking up to the toilet making a gurgling noise and then the god awful smell of methain. I've never packed and got out of a place so fast in my life."
"Narrow one lane roads. Grass sites. Drunken, foul mouthed bingo with children present. Loud music in pavilion until midnight. Totally a party park with no enforcement of their listed rules. Only time I saw someone enforcing rules was when an old man mowing grass stood in the middle of the road to slow people down, otherwise it was anything goes."
"This is our favorite campground!!! Come multiple times a year. The owners are so helpful, down to earth and fun. Weekends are tons of fun, with tons of family activities. They have a little store on site but there is a Mirabito right down the road. Price Chopper isn't every far either so you can drab things you forgot or replenish what you need. Plenty to do nearby as well if you look it up..."
"I’m writing this at 11:00 at night, well past the 10:00 quiet time cutoff. The music at the pavilion is so loud and making it impossible to get to sleep! This campground is definitely catered to the seasonal campers. They stay up all night drinking and the more they drink the louder they get! The seasonals don’t pay attention to the rules. Their dogs are never on a leash and run out into the road making it impossible for us to walk our two small dogs. We had a golf cart run our 11 year old daughter off the road down a hill and she flew over her handlebars. The pool is in need of repair and was very dirty. I question the proper chlorine ph as you can’t smell chlorine at all. I was told it was only heated on the weekends so it was very cold during the week. The trex around the edges is so loose that my 5 year old son got his toe caught under the edge. The playground is very dangerous. Our kids came back to our campsite carrying at board with rusted screws sticking out of it that fell of the elevated area. The tube slide has two rusted metal supports- one is not even attached anymore. When we arrived at our site we were unable to hook up at our 50 amp big rig site as the connections are all the way in the back. Needed 50 feet of cord, water hose and sewer hose. Had to scramble and buy the extra needed just so we could get hooked up. The entrance to he campground is very hard to see. You have to make sure you see the flags or you will go right by. Would be nice to be lit up at night. If you are a family with kids or just wanting a nice place to get away- this is definitely not for you. Even some of the seasonal campers have offensive signs on their sites. This is just one big party campground- If this is what you like you will love it. There are definitely some other nice options for a family campground in the Cooperstown area. We checked them out and will go there. Well as I close it’s 11:30 and I think the music has stopped!"
"Went for a few days with a friend.....we are two ladies in our 70's on a visit to Oneonta. Crazy Acres was the perfect spot for us. Lovely setting. Very helpful staff and owners. Maintained with a lot of love and care. We will be back! Oh...that's right...we already booked for September."
