"Having 5 children we rarely get a chance to get a night off. This spot was perfect as it was only a half hour away but felt like we were no where near home. The room was beautiful, the outside patio with the hot tub was perfect. The property is quiet and peaceful and has everything you need. We did not leave other than to get food."
"The hotel is unbelievably quiet and so quaint. Perfect escape for a couple or a girls weekend away. The daily picnic breakfast was my favorite part! So many little qualities that make it stand out amongst so many other places. All good things - you won’t be disappointed."
"A triumph of marketing over substance. This is a mediocre motel that bills itself as much more than it is. The good: Location. The motel is on the water so you can sit or walk on the beach and is a short drive from a lot of local vineyards. However, the bikes are totally unnecessary - there is nothing close enough to merit a bike ride instead of a car. The bad: The rooms and the hotel layout. It’s nice that every room has a hot tub, but there is ZERO privacy. The hot tubs are not on your balcony/patio so much as they are right in the middle of the hotel garden/common area. The dividers between patios are so small that if you are sitting on it you can see and hear every neighboring guest. Our hot tub also broke after the first day and wouldn’t heat. Housekeeping: While the room was clean they did not clean promptly and came after the listed hours (1-4pm). They also didn’t refill the soap containers so I was out of shower gel after only one night. Breakfast: The breakfast basket delivered to your room is nice in concept but not in execution. It was basically a continental breakfast with a decent bagel and weak coffee. No milk, only creamer. And it is not delivered until about 9am so if you want an early start you’re out of luck. The ugly: So. Many. Rules. When you check in you have to sign multiple forms. There are signs everywhere threatening fees and reminding you that you are under surveillance. When you check out you get a text (from the useless automated text service) reminding you that if you don’t return your room keys you will be fined. When we checked in it was kind of funny, but by the time we left it just felt obnoxious. The experience did not match the price. We will not be staying here again."
"The room was gorgeous with all the amenities. The property is beautiful- the beach and garden area are very nice and private. We loved the privacy of the location. Breakfast in the picnic basket was a nice touch. My only complaint would be to include use of the paddle boards and kayaks with the stay for the amount we paid for our room. Highly recommend this hotel and look forward to staying here again."
"Absolutely loved staying here. The beach is just a couple steps away from the room and the personal hot tubs are such a nice touch. Everything was clean and the breakfast in a picnic basket was so lovely to get. My only complaint is I wish they had some form of recycling for the rooms! Otherwise no complaints! Will definitely return in the future :)"
